Welcome, call me Katie! I am a fifth-grade ELA teacher at Merry Oaks Elementary with a very open summer schedule. I am a Charlotte local, recently married, and a UNC Charlotte graduate. Childcare: Before I became a teacher, I was a nanny for two different families, both with three children between the ages of 1. 5-15 yrs. This means I'm prepared to work with large families and adapt quickly to different kinds of needs. Pet Care: I have always had a pet (or three) to take care of for as long as I can remember and I have experience with dogs, cats, fish, and horses. Senior Care: Some weekends you will find me taking care of my grandparents (in their 90s!) to give my own parents a respite from the caregiver life. This means that I have experience taking care of senior citizens with mobility issues. I'm trustworthy (CMS approved!), easy to reach, flexible, and I love getting to know new people.
