About Katherine

Hello! My name is Katherine, and I am an experienced tutor of students ranging from elementary school to college. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland, and I have a background in designing lesson plans based on school curriculum and learning standards. Through years as a Guided Study Sessions leader hired by my university for a traditionally challenging course, I have been trained in various learning techniques and have earned a certification as a Supplemental Instruction Leader. I also have a strong background in both math and English, scoring in the 99th percentile on the SAT. Through years of volunteering with the Special Olympics and working with individuals with special needs, I have developed the skills necessary to assist students of all backgrounds and abilities.
