I love tutoring one-on-one because I get to connect with students, teach study skills (writing, ESL and science), and make learning fun. I work at a high school as a Learning Coach, but I also meet with students weekly to help them get ahead and figure out how to recognize and fix their academic weaknesses. I have experience working with all kinds of teens (as well as adults). I specialize in helping students with the Common App essay and resumes, but I also have professional experience in reading, general writing, science and ESL tutoring. I've lived in Philly for over 10 years and do not have a car. I'm a nonsmoker and am comfortable with animals. I also have experience working with students who have learning disabilities or who are neurodiverse.

Katherine worked with my teenager on his college essays, helping him shape and edit his own stories to be authentic and impactful.
