About Katherine

Hi! I'm a caring, creative, and experienced caregiver with a strong background working with children of all ages. I currently work as an art teacher for 4-5-year-olds at Featherstone Art Center in Martha's Vineyard, where I love encouraging imagination, self-expression, and hands-on learning through art. Previously, I worked as a summer camp counselor supporting and supervising 9-10-year-old campers for eight hours a day. I planned and led creative and nature-based activities, coordinated two-night camping trips in remote locations, and worked closely with other counselors to adapt programs to each child's developmental needs and social dynamics. In addition to childcare, I'm confident in the kitchen and happy to prepare meals and snacks. I'm also comfortable with swimming and water activities, and always make safety a top priority-I'm trained in CPR. I keep spaces clean and organized so that kids feel at ease.
