About Virginia

Hi there! I'm a 31-year-old artist, designer, and filmmaker who spent my formative years as a camp counselor and arts educator. I'm looking to go back to my roots in the childcare industry as I pursue my MFA at Hunter College. From ages 14 - 20, I was a counselor for kids between the ages of 8 and 18 at an overnight summer camp. After college, in between jobs in the creative industry ranging from The Atlantic to Bloomberg to independent film productions, I taught after school art lessons and integrated arts programming into several schools in the greater New Orleans area. I love working with young people and students, and I'm so excited to nurture this part of my background again while balancing my graduate school work. I'd be especially delighted if your child wants some extra experience or time with art making, crafts, or anything in the creative world. Thanks for reading!
