About Katherine

Hello! My name is Katy, and I have been babysitting for 10 years. As the oldest of 21 cousins I was the built-in babysitter from a young age, which sparked my interest in childcare! In the past 6 years I have worked for the GSRP preschool program, in a special education preschool, and have worked in before/after school programs. I am comfortable with small or large groups of children! I have experience with Infants all the way through middle school aged students. I love all age groups and think each age has something unique to offer. I also have ample experience with special education as well. I have worked as a 1-on-1 paraprofessional for elementary students and for the past 4 years have been an assistant teacher in a early childhood special education classroom. I pride myself on the connections I make with kids and their families! I believe kids thrive when provided with a consistent routine, clear expectations, and lots of engaging activities.
