About Katherine

My name is Katherine, but I go by Kat. My childcare experience began at 15 with the nursery at my church. This led to babysitting for families I met there. My mom, a single mother of six, often needed help with my younger siblings, especially since my oldest sister has bipolar disorder. This taught me many valuable skills for working with children. I worked in retail/food until about two years ago, then started college in 2022 and began full-time nannying. I promote gentle parenting, preferring redirection over punishment, and limit TV/electronics in favor of activities and crafts. I currently work for a family whose youngest starts preschool in August, which will reduce my hours. I'm seeking a new job to compensate for this change or replace my current position.
