About Katherine

I have experience babysitting for children between 3 months and 13 years of age. While care taking, a favorite activity of mine is to read with children or to draw - I find that creative stimulation is fun for both me and the kids! I am also very involved in theater and music, and enjoy sharing that hobby with kids I babysit (which may result in skits to be put on for parents later!). I love to cook and bake, so putting together meals for kids is not a problem. The largest family I have worked for was a family of 6 children (ages 6 months, 2 years, 4 years, 6 years, 8 years, and 13 years). I currently work full time (8:30-5 Mon-Fri) as a research assistant at UPMC Children's Hospital in the adolescent and young adult medicine department. I have experience working as a mentor and caretaker for refugee youth, youth who have experienced trauma, and foster youth. I am looking for a position as a regular or occasional babysitter on weekday evenings!
