About Katherine

After my grandma's stroke at the age of 90, I moved in with her and was a full time live-in caretaker for over a year. This included medication management, scheduling and transportation to doctor's appointments, cooking and cleaning for three meals a day, bathing, toileting, nighttime assistance. I've learned I have a knack for navigating issues of safety and care while preserving client dignity and bringing a sense of ease and humor. I have experience with clients experiencing dementia, memory loss, incontinence, mobility issues, aphasia, and many other issues that come with older age. I make genuine connections and tend to have fun with my senior clients, all while thinking outside of the box on how to make life more engaging, exciting, enriching or pleasant.
