I have been volunteering with special needs children for 5 years now. I helped organized the program Buddy Basketball, which is a one on one basketball program for special needs children of all ages. I have also opened a special needs division of the global organization Destination Imagination, which works to build creativity, teamwork skills, and critical thinking. I also have experience volunteering for the program Special Camp for Special Kids which is a one on one program where counselors get paired up with a camper for one week in the summer.
