About Katharine

For over 10 years, I have been helping students unlock their potential through personalized tutoring. I hold a graduate degree and am a certified teacher, experienced with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504). My teaching philosophy centers on building confidence and fostering a love for learning. I adapt my methods by varying teaching strategies and encouraging open communication. I keep students engaged by connecting challenging topics to real-world examples and celebrating small successes. Communication is essential for understanding student needs and building a collaborative environment. The most rewarding aspect of tutoring is witnessing a student's "aha!" moment and watching their confidence grow. I am comfortable tutoring in various locations and can help with a wide range of subjects and education levels. I have a car and am comfortable with pets.
