About Katharine

This past May, I graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA in Psychology. I have always had a passion for working with kids and young adults, especially those with disabilities and/or mental health illnesses. During school, I worked as a Direct Support Professional in Iowa City, IA. I was at an enhanced behavioral and medical site, which housed two individuals. There, I assisted with activities of daily living, administered medications, managed behaviors and emotions, and promoted overall wellness amongst the individuals. Most recently, I have worked as an ABA Therapist where I was with children ages 2-6 diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our goal was to teach communication, social, and self-help skills in order for the children to be successful as they graduated from our clinic and started CPS! I am eager to use my background and skills to help support the child care of a family, while developing meaningful relationships along the way. *I am located in Jefferson Park*
