I graduated from Santa Clara University winter 2026 with a major in Child Studies and minor in Urban Education. I've moved back home to pursue my career as an elementary and SPED teacher at Western Washington University through their teacher residency program. I sadly had to leave my job as a certified preschool and toddler teacher back in California, but am hoping to be able to help out families and gain even more experiences. I like working with kids because of the variety of experiences I get to have and information I learn from my relationship with each child. I love seeing them grow and progress as people as well as being a part of this process. I'm looking for a job that is welcoming and where expectations are clearly communicated (written down, emailed, texted etc...). Timely and open communication are also beneficial for my efficiency and relationships with the children. I want to get to know them and their family so I know how to best help!
I’ve known Kate R. all of her life, and watched her grow from a very capable teen to a mature, responsible young person. I hired her several times to watch my toddler daughter, and to this day, my daughter said Kate was her favorite. Whomever hires Kate will be so grateful to have her as part of their family.
