About Kate

Hi! I'm KJ, I'm 25 and a certified history teacher. I have an MA in education and I'm a current social work student. I have 2 years experience as a public school teacher and 7 as a summer camp supervisor. I am also a first time mom due October 2026. I have dedicated my life to working with children and am excited to work with children as a nanny, babysitter, or tutor! In addition to being highly qualified, I'm energetic and lots of fun. I'm an expert knitter, avid outdoors-woman, and a great baker. I love doing these things with older kids to build life skills, but I'm also familiar with the Montessori method for younger kids through my master's program. I'm First Aid/AED/CPR certified for all ages and have experience working with children with special needs, both as a classroom teacher and on overnight trips as a debate coach. I have reliable transportation, no physical limitations and an open schedule for meeting childcare needs. Looking forward to meeting you and your kiddo(s)!
