About Kate

I'd describe my personality as patient, passionate, and empathetic. I'm a good tutor because I care deeply about helping children reach their full potential. I don't just teach -- I mentor, encourage, and support students in a way that builds their confidence and love of learning. My experience as a graduate teaching assistant and a mentor with Young Life has taught me how to connect with students of all backgrounds and learning styles. I take the time to understand each child's needs, and I genuinely enjoy helping them grow academically and personally. I started tutoring initially while working as a nanny, and continued my tutoring career as a graduate teaching assistant throughout my own graduate education. In my spare time, I like to volunteer with Young Life.
