The world needs more writers, especially young ones! I offer my writing tutorial sessions to students wishing to fortify their writing skills over the summer or meet educational goals as homeschoolers during the academic year. In addition, I tutor grade levels 6-12, as well as college-level students. Using creative, play-based, paper-forward techniques, I am able to open your child's perspective on the world and those who represent a possible audience. In each session, we spend time doing something worth writing about. This will not be a traditional class that requires the group to sit quietly while I lecture. Instead, we experience something together and write about it. Sometimes we will use the natural world (yes, we go outside) and at her times we read something together and talk about how we might expand on it. In addition, we work on key stories to apply the principles of vivid, clear, and engaging writing.
