I have worked with, cared for, and taught children most of my life. Starting out in my teens, I was responsible for interacting with and at times directing children from ages 5-13 years old in plays. I then went on to teach Preschool as a Certified Associate Teacher. My duties included leading the Preschool Program, assist in constructing Monthly Lesson Plans, scheduling Parent-Teacher Conferences, and of course teaching and developing the basic skills of my students ranging in age from 2-4 years. After that, I went on to finish school at the Theater Lab Honors Conservatory in DC as a Theater Major and was both a Private Nanny and student full-time. I continued to exclusively nanny with one family for 1. 5 years. I was the caretaker of their first child from her being 2 months on up to 2years old. During the pandemic, I became an Artist Educator with a non-profit for stuttering youth. And now I continue to work part-time as a nanny and occasional babysitter in New York City.

Kashayna served as an interim nanny for us for two weeks and took care of our children: a 2 year old and 7 month old. She was professional, cheerful, and flexible - a delight to work with. From a parent's perspective she was just what we needed: on time despite winter weather, responsive, adjusted to 'our style' even for a short period of time. She respectfully provided extra support for our older child, who was recovering from a serious injury. The kid's toys, dishes, bottles were clean and put away at the end of the day. Right from the first day, she made sure kids had naps, ate their meals, got outside if weather allowed, and had fun when inside. From a child's perspective - she was also great. She engaged both our children according to their personalities and our 2 year old really took to her. She has a very cheerful disposition, and helped them enjoy their days. They played fun new games, and tried new ways to play old games. Kashayna also really seemed to enjoy our children, which was invaluable!
