About Karin

I have worked with children all my adult life. I was a live in nanny for two separate families in my early 20's. I left that to work in a residential treatment program for emotionally impaired children. I started out as a child care worker, was promoted to Assistant Supervisor/Health and school coordinator and finally promoted to Unit Supervisor which is the position I held until I left to open my own in home daycare. I ran my in home daycare for 16 years. I took care of children from 6 weeks up to 7 years old. I created and implemented a program that met the needs of infants, preschooler's and school age children. My daycare was very successful. I closed my daycare when I became a foster mother to a special needs 2-month-old. Since running my daycare, I have been a foster parent, nanny and have worked for the past 4 years in the Waterford schools as a substitute guest teachers assistant in various Elementary schools. I have 32 credits towards my early childhood Associate's. My specialty is infant care. I am able to be of help to new parents who are struggling with the needs of their infants, either with daily care or helping and supporting new parents. Sincerely, Karin S.
