About Karina

Karina has worked with our family for the past six months taking incredible care of our daughter in that time. Our daughter quickly bonded with her, and their relationship continued to grow through all they did together each day, whether that was spending time outside, reading books, playing with toys, or chasing our cats around the house. Karina is great at keeping baby on a schedule and has experience bottle feeding as well as feeding solids. She also did light housework for us such as washing up baby related dishes and folding/putting away baby laundry as needed. I work from home so got to know Karina over the past few months and I know she views this work as so much more than just a job. She doesn’t just clock in and clock out, she deeply cares not only for the kids she cares for, but for the families she works with, doing whatever you ask of her to make life a little easier with a little one. One of the things I will always treasure about Karina is when I learned she would sing our daughter to sleep. I happened to catch it one day and to know that someone cared so much about our daughter to hold her and sing to her to help her settle down to rest was very endearing. Overall, she is a good person, someone our family has come to trust and rely on, and who I know we will continue to turn to if we ever have childcare needs. We made the incredibly difficult decision to put our daughter into full time childcare when a spot opened up and it was getting more challenging to balance working from home with a very active 10 month old on the days Karina was working with other families. Letting her go is not easy, but our family hopes she can find another family to work with who she can have just as much of an impact on.
