I am a mom of 2 children (1 Senior in College and 1 Senior in High School). I have been a mom for 21 years and have put in many hours caring for my own children. I have done occasional child care jobs with families in my community and have worked for 9 families on Care. com. . I enjoy playing board games, puzzles, and assisting with crafts. I enjoy the outdoors as well. 
In my free time, I volunteer with a marching band program at my daughter's high school. I have a clear background check with Miramar PD and a clean driving record in the State of FL. (I can provide copies of background check and driving record.)

I have been out of the childcare loop for some time. Now that my daughter is a senior in High School, I have more time available that I can dedicate to childcare.

Karen is very professional and timely. She connected with my kids almost instantly, and even got in the floor to play with them. They loved the personal interaction she implemented. She was very easy to talk to, and always punctual. She is an excellent choice for a family that values a trustworthy and reliable  option for a caregiver. 

Karen is timely, sweet, and follows instructions well. She has been helping us with our 11 month old and our 7 year old. She tends to the baby’s needs and finds ways to entertain my older one. We are happy we found her!

Karen took great care of my 5 year old and 14 month old children! She is very friendly, punctual, and even went above my expectations to make sure I was comfortable, and that my children were enjoying themselves while I was away. I'm very thankful to have met such an awesome caregiver for my kids! 

I've never had a babysitter for my kids that wasn't family. I was a nervous wreck in this process. The instant Karen walked in, my toddler immediately ran to her and liked her from the start. He's usually shy at first but not with her. Karen put my mind at ease taking care of my kids for a date night. Now I'm happy to be able to go out for a couple of hours here and there to spend quality time with my husband, since it's hard with a newborn and toddler. She even sent me pics and updates! In addition, she gave me some great parenting tips that I will be implementing. Super kind, friendly, and meshed so well with the kids. She also seems like a great mother to her children and very involved in their activities. Will continue using her services in the future!


Karen has been an outstanding addition to our family. I have had a very hard time letting anyone watch our daughter and Karen has helped to make both my daughter and myself comfortable. She has great suggestions and always makes sure that my daughter is safe, cared for and loved. She has great suggestions and always makes sure I am ok with everything she does. She is always on time and always checks in even after she leaves to make sure my daughter is doing well. Thank you Karen for being amazing! 

We came across Karen's profile on Care.com when looking for someone dependable and trustworthy to take care of our almost two year old daughter.  We were absolutely blown away with Karen from the first moment when we invited her over to meet our daughter following a thorough phone interview.  Our daughter DOES NOT react well to strangers and it was an instant connection for the two of them.  Karen's ability to empathize, entertain, and redirect whenever necessary proved to the perfect combination for our little girl.  Karen was always on time, despite the early hours, and even brought her own toys from time to time.  She has a great deal of experience volunteering for the Boy Scouts, and it truly shows in her behavior.  She is patient, kind, and caring, never raising her voice or getting frustrated with our toddler (who can be quite demanding and challenging at times).  Instead, Karen shows the utmost patience and ability to adapt to the diverse needs of our daughter.  She takes her on long walks, does arts and crafts projects to challenge her little mind, and even walks over a mile round trip to bring her to the park just so she can swing in her favorite swing.  I work from home, so I have seen first-hand just what Karen is capable of, and it is astounding!  

Unfortunately, we're moving south of Miami, and it's a bit too far for Karen, otherwise we would take her with us in a heartbeat.  We'll miss you Karen!

Karen has babysat for my 10 month old 3 times so far. So far, she has shown up on time and with a great attitude. I don't always know how long I will need her, but she is always flexible and will stay as little or as long as I need her. She plays with my daughter the entire time and doesn't rely on using television to distract her. She has been great at taking direction and following my daughter's schedule. She is very attentive to details and always cleans up my daughters eating and play areas. Although my daughter is going through some separation anxiety right now, as soon as I am out of sight I hear Karen playing with her and my daughter laughing!

Karen is an amazing caretaker! She is my sister-in-law and has taken care of my son (now 15 months old) since he since he was a newborn 1-2 times a week. My son L. is always so well taken care of by her. She is extremely punctual and follows directions/schedules perfectly and he always has so much fun with her. Best of all Karen is so creative and experienced, so any issue I may be having with my son, if I ask her for advice, she always has some interesting idea to try that usually fixes the issue. If you decide to hire her you will not regret it because she will keep your child safe, well taken care of and happy.

After speaking with her and meeting her in person, I realized she was the perfect sitter for my kids. She sat for my 3.5 year & 1.5 year old. She was punctual and even brought her own books to read to my kids, which was super sweet. She made sure to let me know all the details of the evening and the next day my 3.5 year old was curious to when she would come back to visit. I plan to continue to call Karen moving forward, super happy I found her. 

Karen watched my daughter for 3 years from the time she was 2 years old until she went off to Kindergarten. It was the best child care experience we could have hoped for. 
Karen was very reliable and took care of my daughter as if she was her own. She was respectful of our family rules and helped reinforce schedules that worked best for our family. 
She would take the time to plan activities and crafts that were both fun and educational. My fridge was always full of beautiful art. 
Karen would be a wonderful addition to your child's life!!
