Most of my experience with disabilities is lived: I have AuDHD. My nieces and nephews (not all blood related) are all on the spectrum; one until recently was considered nonverbal, but thanks to speech therapy while at school, now speaks in 5 word sentences!!! Besides that, I have cared for triplet toddlers with cognitive and gross motor delays. I have cared for a toddler with Down Syndrome. I have worked as a Behavioral Health Professional for autistic kids and teens. I have experience with PDA and ODD. I have taken classes in ASL, though a refresher would always be beneficial.
