Hi, my name is Karen. I am a mother of four young adult children and I live in Western Springs. The bulk of my career has been teaching special education. The last five years or so I have been helping care for my aging mother. People say that I am extremely patient. I enjoy getting out and about in the community whether that's at a farmers market or just going on a nice walk with my dog. I'm also quite happy to sit inside and read a book. Because I'm experiencing this phase in life myself right now, I understand the difficulty of caring for a parent that no longer has the capability of fully taken care of themselves. It's really hard and it's very time-consuming. I hope to be able to take some of the burden off of you and your family.
