Karen has been our full-time nanny since March 2025, caring for our son from the time he was 10 months old into his toddlerhood. During this period of rapid growth and constant change, she has been a patient, nurturing, and steady presence. She is extremely reliable and professional—punctual, consistent, and thoughtful in her communication. We have always felt completely confident leaving our son in her care, knowing he was safe, supported, and genuinely cared for. Karen approaches her work with calm attentiveness and brings warmth and intention to even the most ordinary moments of the day. She has been especially attuned to our son’s emotional needs. Karen handles toddler frustrations and transitions with patience and empathy, helping him feel secure while still encouraging independence and curiosity. It is clear from their interactions that he trusts her deeply and feels comfortable with her. One of the most surprisingly wonderful aspects of having Karen in our family has been language enrichment for our son (and us). She communicates clearly and easily with us in English, but speaks and sings to our son in Spanish throughout the day, which has been fantastic for his language development. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are transitioning to weekend-only care and would very much like Karen to find an arrangement that better supports her. This change is purely logistical and in no way reflects her performance. We recommend her enthusiastically and without reservation.
