About Karen

Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential is my passion. With 10 years of experience as a certified teacher, I specialize in making Math, English, and Science accessible and engaging. I believe every student possesses unique strengths, so I focus on fostering critical thinking and genuine confidence rather than rote memorization. By observing how you interact with new material, I tailor my approach--whether through visual aids, hands-on activities, or real-world examples--to ensure concepts truly click. I prioritize open communication with families to build a collaborative, supportive environment. Whether we meet at your home, online, or a local library, my goal is to turn challenging topics into manageable steps that spark curiosity. Seeing a student experience that transformative "aha!" moment is the most rewarding part of my work. I look forward to partnering with you to make learning a joyful, successful journey.
