About Karen

I started working with animals when I was about 17 years old. I entered into a program to become a veterinary technician while I never did finish the program. I did work with a Veterinarian. I went on to do Animal Rescue for 35 years during that time. I took care of a variety of animals. I also was a volunteer with animal disaster services, a volunteer group with emergency management. 13 years. In my spare time, I like to be outdoors, I enjoy kayaking, hiking, camping, swimming, taking care of plants. One thing you should know about me is that I am 100% invested in making sure that your animals are loved and treated very well while you are gone. Animals are my passion. This isn't just something that I'm doing while I look for my real job. This has been my real job for the majority of my adult life. I love what I do. My skills include being able to read animals, making them feel safe and comfortable in your absence, combining activity, fun and positivity to their environment.
