New to Care
This is a criminal background check required for all caregivers before they can message families.
My first jobs as a teen were as a babysitter, a church nursery coordinator, and in the infant room of a local daycare center. I left the area to become a paramedic, and worked in emergency medicine for 18 months. Shortly after I began my own family and never returned to emergency medicine. My own children are now 14, 16, 18, and 20. Prior to the pandemic I was self employed as a family advocate for special education. My current position is with a local family helping their 7 and 9-year-old be successful at virtual school. I am looking for a position 20-40 hours a week, in your home. I believe communication is the most essential skill in child care, both with the child(ren) and with the parents. Nurturing an environment of respect, understanding, safety, and fun is my goal. I enjoy dancing, puzzles, arts and crafts, nature walks, animals, reading, imaginative play, cooking and doing experiments. I'm not afraid to make a mess, and clean it up, to have fun or teach something new.
