About Kara

Hello! I am a license-eligible clinical social worker (MSW), passionate about supporting seniors and adults with disabilities in a kind, respectful, and professional manner. Since earning my MSW in 2022, I have worked in adult mental healthcare, including with seniors experiencing complex health and mental health challenges. Throughout my career, I have worked part-time as an in-home companion caregiver, gaining over five years of experience. I've worked with individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, mental health disorders, physical disabilities, mobility limitations and sensory impairments. I am comfortable working in-home, providing safe transportation and support for appointments, therapeutic and recreational activities. Given my professional licensure, I am unable to provide higher-level personal care and hygiene services. However, I am more than happy to provide light mobility assistance, help with light cleaning, organizing, and handy-work around the house.
