About Kara

Kara watched our son full-time from when he was 5 months until we put him into day care. She was always punctual and always showed up with a smile. I loved how she built a routine for our son to follow throughout the day. They would sing and dance, names things throughout the house, play with toys and read. She would even put together Montessori activities that matched his stage of development. She was great about tracking how much he ate and drank, keeping us informed about how many diapers were used and any issues he was having. She was always receptive to feedback and reading up on current best practices. She does a good job of validating his feelings and redirecting him to activities that are safe. Without Kara, I don't think our son would be hitting all the milestones he has been as quickly as he did. She's wonderful to have around the house. She cooks delicious meals (ask her to make you her special tuna casserole or scalloped potatoes) and keeps the house spotless. On days my husband and I were busy, she would run the laundry, clean up the kitchen and take out the trash. I definitely feel like we were lucky to have met someone so thoughtful and caring. If we have another baby, we will definitely hire her again.
