About Kaiya

Hello, my name is Kaiya. I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I major in Political Science and minor in Philosophy. I've already earned my associate degree and am continuing my academic journey with a strong interest in policy, education, and ethical leadership. I work for the Goleta Union School District as an After-School Program Leader, where I support and mentor students between the ages of 15 and 18. In this role, I create a safe and engaging environment that promotes academic success, personal growth, and positive social interactions. Additionally, I have volunteer experience at my local elementary school, where I worked closely with kindergarten students. I like tutoring because I get to help someone learn and grow, even in a small way. It's meaningful to be part of their progress.
