About Kaitlyn

Hi my name is Kaitlyn. I have spent two of my years in college studying early childhood and special education. I have worked in a preschool setting as a teacher, creating and facilitating my own lesson plans. I currently work as a nanny and private tutor for a family of 3, ranging in age from 5 months to 10 years. My philosophy with child care is to try and avoid screen time and focus on being outside and spending time with one another. Generally with the kids we would play games, go to the park and spend time outside, or allow them to create works of art they are so proud to show their parents. I also focus on having the children help around the house. When it comes to cooking meals and cleaning up I encourage the children to help and be a part of the process.
