About Me Hi, I'm Kacey. I've worked in a group home setting supporting individuals with high behavioral needs, including autistic, nonverbal, and physically aggressive clients. It was one of the most challenging and meaningful experiences of my life and it taught me how to stay calm in chaos, communicate without words, and lead with patience and empathy. I've handled everything from full-blown meltdowns to silent shutdowns, and I've learned how to read subtle cues, build trust, and create a sense of safety and routine even in unpredictable situations. Whether it was de-escalating physical aggression or celebrating small victories, every day required a balance of resilience, compassion, and a good sense of humor (which, let's be honest, is essential in this line of work). This experience shaped not just my professional skills, but also the way I show up for others with respect, understanding, and the ability to stay grounded no matter what's going on around me.
