About Justin

I'd describe my personality as collaborative, creative, and calm. I like working with kids because they're very smart, fun to be around, and allows me to grow and connect with more people. I started working with kids when I was about 16 years old. I volunteered for assistant coaching at Competitive Edge Mixed Martial Arts, and part of that work was working with kids one on one to help them reach their goals. In my spare time, I like to play the piano and the guitar, go for walks or hikes, hang out with my friends. In the winter I love skiing (but I'm not very good). One thing you should know about me is that I sometimes take a little time to warm up to talking to strangers, but despite that I am always eager to talk and share stories. My skills include managing energy levels of the kids I work with, adapting on the fly to change my approach, and maintaining a calm demeanor.
