About Julissa

Hi! My name is Julissa, and have experience tutoring working with students from Kindergarten through 10th grade. I can help with English, math, projects, homework support, and test prep. I'm fluent in Spanish and able to assist bilingual learners as well. I'm currently majoring in Social Work, which has helped me learn how to meet students where they're at, support them emotionally, and help them manage school-related stress. I'm friendly, easy to communicate with, and always focused on creating an encouraging and organized learning environment. I'm flexible with my approach and adapt to whatever learning style works best for each student. Whether they need help understanding assignments, preparing for tests, or building confidence, I tailor each session to their needs. I'm available for after-school sessions in the afternoons, either in person or online. I also have childcare experience, which helps me connect well with kids and create a positive space for learning.
