Meet Julie

After working as a nurse for many years I retired and decide to go back to school for a new career. I graduate in December with a degree in Therapeutic Recreation ( 4. 0 GPA) which provides me an valuable insight to providing a quality of life for elders who may be house bound or just in need of quality companion care. I have an abundance of resources for a fun therapeutic day. Ive learned that when a senior is engaged in routine therapeutic activities he/she is more prone to being present, happy and engaging with day to day family. I work with puzzles, music, and games

So many struggle with the emotions of caring for elderly parents. And it really can be a struggle. I will listen to the stories you have heard a thousand times, intently, and engage conversation. I know how to interact with a person with memory concerns. And. we will laugh and have fun.
I am available for part time companion care presently, and after December will be open for working with a family full time.
