About Julie

Hello! I'm a Psychology student and I have a passion for both animals and child development. I have a cat and a tortoise, I love swimming, singing, yoga, and I'm new to the Redding area as of July 2026. I graduated at 17 and jumped right into being an assistant teacher at an in-home daycare where I supervised up to 8 children at once. There, I worked with kids 3 months - 5 years from 2021 to 2023. In 2024, I became a Behavior Technician and did 1 on 1 play therapy with kids on the ASD spectrum ages 7 to 15 years old. As a BT I gained a lot of knowledge about both child development and behavior management strategies. 2025 and most of 2026 I spent as a backup care nanny in San Diego for the company Jovie. I provided in-home childcare for kids ages 2 months - 12 years for anywhere from 4 - 12 hours per shift. I received an "All Star Nanny Award" during Nanny Recognition Week 2025 for frequent 5 star reviews, parents requesting me back, and professionalism amongst parents and supervisors.
