While at UNCC, I worked as a communication consultant for a Critical Thinking and Communications class. I tutored students in rhetorical analysis and assisted them with an inquiry portfolio as required by the university. This experience taught me how to communicate with many different kinds of people and make difficult concepts accessible to new learners.

We reached out to Julia with a request and asked for confirmation on whether she could take the job. Unfortunately, we did not receive any response, which was disappointing given the strong emphasis on communication and reliability in her “About Me” section. While we understand that circumstances may arise, timely communication— even just to decline— is essential. We hope this was an isolated situation, as otherwise Julia’s background and skills seemed very promising.
