About Julia

Hello! My name is Julia. I absolutely love being around children and putting smiles on their faces! Seeing children learn and smile is my happiness. I am a special education teacher and have worked with Kindergarten, second and fifth graders. I have four years of experience in this role. I currently hold a bachelors degree in psychology and a masters degree in special education. I also have a science of reading endorsement. I am trained in several science-based reading interventions such as Orton Gillingham, Fundations and Wilson. I am also Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certified. I have experience with children of many different abilities- academically or behaviorally, and disabilities such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and emotional disorders. I also have a niece and nephew who I've been caring for since birth, so I have experience with babies and toddlers, as well. In addition, I adore dogs, so they are not a problem at all for me. I have three of my own dogs.
