About Julia

I have experience volunteering at a nursing facility for a summer. There I assisted the residents in the activities in the activities department. I am a student studying recreational therapy, in this major I have worked with three nursing facilities. I run groups with the residents and assist them in the group. I started caring for seniors when I started to think about quality of life for my grandparents as they aged. I want the best for my grandparents and that lead me to want to work with the older adult population. I want them to have a good quality of life, to be able to participate in the things that they love. In my spare time, I like to walk, knit, crochet, and read.
