About Judy

I'm a friendly person who is understanding and patient with students. Teaching is my passion. I desire to help people reach their academic potential, no matter what level. I'm seeking tutoring jobs in the Superior, Louisville, Lafayette area. I work best with with K-12+ students who have learning challenges. I started tutoring in 2011, and I pursued specific training to help underserved, struggling students. Later, I received Orton Gillingham Certification from the Institute of Multisensory Education. In my spare time, I like to read, explore hiking trails, and be involved in my community. Something you should know about me: I'm new in this area, but I have references available from Denver and the north metro area. My skills include tailoring lessons to individual learning styles and preferences for math, reading, and writing. I use a successful multisensory approach to teach reading and spelling, by using the well-known, systematic, Orton Gillingham method.
