About Juana

Hi there! My name is Juana. Caring for children has been a meaningful part of my life in many seasons. In my twenties, I worked as an au pair for a child with special needs, which taught me patience, and how to communicate in many different ways. During college, I babysat for several families, and now, in my forties, I am the go-to sitter for many of my friends' little ones. I currently work as a therapist in the mental health field and have counseled children and families, which strengthened my understanding of child development, how kids grow, and express themselves. I am empathetic, funny, reliable, and grounded, and I love creating spaces where children feel safe, cared for, and free to be themselves. As I build my caseload in private practice, I am looking for meaningful ways to pay it forward. I enjoy cooking, spending time with my partner and friends, walking my dachshund Winston, and creative projects. I would love to support a warm family that values kindness and care.
