About Joyce

Some of my most rewarding experiences in life have been caring for the elderly. While I have spent many years caring for children and pets, I most enjoy spending time with seniors and helping them in any way that I can. My own mother, age 90, recently fell down a flight of stairs and luckily I was able to provide 24/7 care for her for the 6 months required for her recovery. She needed help with bathing, dressing, toileting, medication management, doctor appointments, physical therapy, activities to pass the time, getting to sleep and then up in the morning. Previous to that, I cared for a woman confined to a wheel chair who was struggling with failing kidneys and various other health issues. She became one of my dearest friends! I am CPR/First Aid certified and hold a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work.
