About Joy

Hi! I'm Joy, an NYU student and former competitive pianist with Royal Conservatory Level 10 certification (First Class Honors). Prior to college, I graduated from a top boarding school on the east coast. I've performed at Carnegie Hall and have years of experience teaching piano, music theory, and history to students of all ages. I create structured lessons that build both skill and confidence in beginner and intermediate students. I also offer academic tutoring for students in elementary through high school - including math and standardized test prep. I tailor every session to the student's pace and learning style. I scored a 1530 on the SAT (780 Math, 750 English) and specialize in helping students feel confident with the structure and strategy of the exam. I have had 2 students increase exam scores by over 180 points.
