About Joy

Hi My name is Shakyra but I liked to be called by my middle name which is Joy. I have about 8 years of on and off experience working with children, including children with autism. I've cared for kids of different ages, providing supervision, support, and positive role modeling. I focus on creating a safe, respectful, and caring environment where kids feel comfortable and understood. I also help with daily routines, encourage good behavior, and support healthy communication skills. As a parent myself, I bring a lot of patience, understanding, and real-life experience when it comes to guiding and caring for children. I truly enjoy working with kids and being someone they can feel safe around and learn from.
