I'd describe my personality as nurturing, reliable, calm. I like caring for seniors because it's an age demographic that is overseen a lot. I'm looking for a job that makes someone's day, working for and with someone that not just needs my caregiving experience but also we are compatible and able to be a team. I started caring for seniors when I worked at Kaiser many moons ago., but in caring for my mom who passed away from a long battle with cancer in 2023 is when I really grew to understand how necessary that caregiver role is. In my spare time, I love to cook, do embroidery, spend time at the beach. One thing you should know about me is I have been a caretaker of my mom in her most difficult times through her battle with cancer and can really understand how difficult it is to not just care for your senior parent but also yourself as their caregiver. My skills include medications, errands, cooking, Dr visits, and basic medical needs.
