As a caregiver, I strive to provide a comfortable life and environment for my client(s). My experience has equipped me to handle work pressure such as agitation, physical aggression, confusion, AWOL, emergencies, and end-of-life care. At 24, I've handled more than 10 clients - in assisted living facilities and as a private caregiver - who all had different diagnosis including Parkinson's, dementia and Alzheimer's. Care includes bathing, medication administration, genital and rectal care, meal preparation, companionship, games, constipation control, and many more. Communication is the foundation to a good relationship with clients. This work is a calling.
