My name is Jorge. You can also call me George. I was born and raised in Spain, but I have living here in San Jose since 2015. I speak Spanish and English. I graduated from SJSU with my Bachelor of Arts in Child and Adolescent Development in Spring 2023. I am in grad school in SJSU obtaining my multiple subject teaching credential, masters, and bilingual authorization. I have been working as a Preschool Teacher for two years (children from 1-year-old to 5 years old; I know how to change diapers) and I am a Student-Teacher in a kindergarten classroom. Before that, I was an after school bilingual tutor for a year. I have experience with pet sitting and working with children who are neurodivergent. I also babysat several occasions. I am welcoming, friendly, respectful, supportive, caring, kind, hardworking, and I am happy to learn new skills, receive feedback, and help others. I am a mandated reporter and I am CPR and First Aid certified. I have my own transportation.

Jorge was my son’s preschool teacher. He always welcomed us with open arms and a smile on his face. He would ask us how are we doing and if we needed any assistance. He would also have some activities set up for my son. Those activities were created using my son’s interests, such as monster trucks, dinosaurs, and soccer. My son would have hard drops off, but he would calm down when Jorge showed him the activities, toys, books, or songs that my son liked. He made him feel safe, welcome, included, and loved. That’s why when we needed a babysitter during the summer, we contacted Jorge. Jorge continued doing what he did at the preschool, such as playing indoors and outdoors, creating activities, reading books, dance parties, preparing snacks, and more. Jorge also ensured that my son was safe and used his words to communicate his feelings and ideas instead of screaming or using his hands. My son had a fantastic time with him
