About Joni

Joni is amazing! My dad is 94 and has resisted (for years!) the idea of having any sort of care. I finally convinced him to just have someone pop in 4x a week and the experience has been life changing for him! Joni's approach has been like a friend. She listens to him and helps when needed but lets him have his independence too. She is proactive in identifying ways to gently engage with him (like doing some simple physical therapy exercises) and has good conversations with him. I live across the country and travel internationally for a living so having Joni as his caregiver has been a real comfort to me. She communicates with me every time she visits with a quick update, escalates anything that needs my attention like doctor visits and home repair issues, and she does special things with and for him like taking him to get special meals. This whole connection is enriching his life even beyond what I could have expected and making him so much happier. It is due to Joni's easy, kind, patient, open and helpful style. He is no longer so alone or lonely and I have a piece of mind that he is ok and has someone local to reach out to if needed. Joni is just absolutely the best and I am so thankful that she has come into our lives. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her.
