About Jonathan

I'm a medical student and I tutor math and science online, evenings and weekends: AP Biology, AP Chemistry, honors bio and chem, anatomy and physiology, math through calculus, and SAT/ACT math and science. I also work with middle schoolers. In Philadelphia, that includes getting 6th and 7th graders ready for the high school selection process - schools like Masterman and Central look at core-subject grades, attendance, and PSSA scores over a two-year window, and that's what we build together. I teach the way I had to learn it myself: understanding first, because memorized tricks fall apart when a test asks the question sideways. My goal is that your kid can explain the concept at dinner, not just recognize it on a worksheet. Parents get a short recap after every session. I grew up in Northern Virginia and came to Philly for med school. One-on-one sessions or small group tutoring offered.
