About Jonae

My name is Jonae. I'm a 26-year-old Brooklyn native. I graduated from Bethune-Cookman University in 2021 with a bachelors in Psychology. Since then, I have held positions as both a paraprofessional and direct care professional for 2 special education institutions as well as a care coordinator for social services. More recently, I have been working for the city of New York as a caseworker for a bit over 2 years. My aspirations are to eventually apply for a masters in clinical psychology and become a certified postpartum doula. To tell you a bit about my personal life, I have a younger brother who is on the spectrum. Growing up with and caring for him taught me the fundamentals of caring for children with special needs and I credit him for my love and passion for providing care to others. I also have plenty of childcare experience outside of my home as I provided care to 8-10 families over the course of 2-3 years that I've matched with on care. com.
