Hello, I like making the client's or resident's day a more pleasant one. While working with seniors and people with developmental disabilities you have to assist them with tasks, often called activities of daily living (adl's), which are essential for everyday life. It's rewarding for me to assist someone with these tasks knowing I'm helping them have a better quality of life. Helping someone brush their teeth, shave, prepare a meal and other adl's can be rewarding work. Knowing a person's day and life is made better by me is a good feeling.
